Eric "Two Scoops" Moore Eric "Two Scoops" Moore and his Two Scoops Combo have been plying their trade - a mixture of boogie-woogie piano magic, electric blues, and old-time rock and roll - for nearly seven years. And if you think the bar-band circuit is tough - 36 states, 12 countries, and three continents so far - this American badass has survived . . . wait for it . . . flesh-eating bacteria. Let's see Kid Rock do that. Moore (who plays piano and sings) and his band - bassist Guy Quintino, tenor sax player Jim King, and drummer Cutts Peasely - join New Orleans with Chicago (Moore has played with many of the Hog Butcher's famous sidemen, including those of Muddy Waters) and Memphis. Nothing particularly new then, but Moore's pounding keyboard style and Professor Longhair-esque growlers are sure to stomp out a party beat. Seattle Weekly - August 2003 |
